#Singapore Travel: Chye Seng Huat Hardware Coffee House

Monday, May 29, 2017

I have tasted so far. Terutama si Cold Brew White di dalam botol yang keren ini. Campuran kopi dan susunya pas sekali, sehingga kopinya tidak teras pahit walaupun kopi susu ini tanpa gula.

Miss Bee Providore - Bandung: A Cozy Little Place

Monday, June 29, 2015

At the last day before we start our Ramadhan fasting we got a chance to go on a short trip to Bandung. We couldn't do much because we were only planning to stay for a day or two. Since we were staying at the new Harris Hotel at Cimbeluit, a friend of mind recommended us to go to Miss Bee Providore for either lunch or dinner and we went there for lunch. We had a lovely lunch at Miss Bee Providore. The restaurant had a nice laid back atmosphere and it is tuck inside quite street away from the busy street of Bandung. They have an extensive choice of menu, from western food to Indonesian and also a selection of kids menu. Desserts and coffee are also tempting, but sadly I was already too full to fit in a dessert.

Jogja Getaway

Tugu Yogyakarta (pic. courtesy of Kresna Tour Jogja)

I know this is long overdue, but i just had to share it, because I had such a great time while I was in Jogja the last time I was there.

We went to Jogja in July 2014, it was a last minute decision as it was the kids summer holiday and also that we just want to get away from all the Eid Mubarak celebration hectic that was going on at that time, with no maids and everything a getaway is the perfect solution. So after the first day of Eid, we flew off to Jogjakarta. We were there for 4 days, we stay at this relatively new hotel called Hotel Tentrem. Tentrem mean peaceful or tranquility and the hotel is indeed kind of peaceful. It was a nice kind of fancy modern mix traditional Javanese hotel, although it was more on the modern side. The hotel has beautiful decorations with marble flooring and luxurious interiors and all the staff are very helpful and courteous. They have a very spacious rooms with 5 stars facilities and so is all the hotel facilities including the pool, gym and spa. When I was there I notice that all the staff have impeccable  uniform that are uniquely design using batik or lurik, both are a traditional fabric of the Javanese. I later found out that all the staffs uniforms were design by none other than Anne Avantie, a renowned Indonesian Kebaya designer from Semarang, Central Java.

Bali in my Eyes

Tuesday, January 3, 2012

The first time I went to Bali was with my parents and their friends for a new year holiday back in the late 80’s or early 90’s (I’m not so sure) but I believe then we stayed in Sanur, where the happening place was back then. We were road-tripping from Jakarta to Bali. I did not really remember our whole activity there but I remember getting my hair braided by the beach and swimming endlessly until my skin got so dark and burned. Even as a child I really love the beach…

And off we go to the Island of the Gods...

Thursday, December 22, 2011

Finally we arrived in Bali, although a little bit sore from the flu and waking up so early in the morning to go to the airport, me and the kids are nevertheless still very exited about our trip.
